Updates

Our Chi Pooh has been having health problem lately & we & our vet feel that her time will be soon. She is over 20 years old & we are blessed to have her with us. In the meantime we are giving her lots of love & anything else that she wants. She is still eating & wanting to be petted & still doing some playing.

Chloe Belle continues to do well. Although her tumor has grown very large, she is still showing no signs other than tiring out sooner than she would have previously. She still gets excited to go on walks & although we have shortened them, she does still walk with the pack.  We are keeping in touch with our vet about her condition. Both Chloe & Pooh Kitty amaze us & we pray that they will enjoy the time that they have left & will pass peacefully.

Baby's adoption did not work out & she is back in foster care (another foster home). In her adoptive home, she needed to be crated while they were at work & Baby REFUSED to be crated : (Even though we thought she was perfect for our home, we know that not every dog is the right fit for every home & we are glad that she is loving her new foster home! If you know someone looking for a pretty little black pittie, send them STAR's way!
We would have gladly taken Baby back, but Paige has had a respiratory infection that has made it necessary for her to be kept away from the other dogs & that meant that we were all out of rooms. She is doing great now & will be able to rejoin her playmates shortly. She hopes to never be isolated again!

P.S. Even though fostering can be hard work & having ill animals of our own is stressful, we are extremely thankful for all that we have :)

I'm so sad about your poor kitty and Chloe. :( Too bad about Baby's adoption too, however I can understand her not wanting to be crated. We tried briefly with Titan (despite me being against crating) and he ended up hurting himself trying to get out. No more crates for T. Glad to hear Paige is doing better. I hope Baby finds a home soon! Hugs to you for all you do for the misfortunate furbabies in this world. :)

Solidarity is the best I have to offer. I've walked in your shoes.

Sending prayers and hugs your way. You have a lot going on. Over 20 years old...what a blessing.

I have only hugs and prayers to offer. I'm sure your hearts are heavy but know you are taking time to spend with your little loves while you can. I love this: "In the meantime we are giving her lots of love & anything else that she wants."

So glad to hear Paige is feeling better at least. We will continue to hold all of you in our thoughts.

You really do take on so much. Twenty years does give the kitty a lot to talk about. Thinking of you guys!
