As with a lot of shelter dogs, we do not know much of Ciera's background, but we do know that she was an owner turn in. She is up to date on shots, heart-worm negative & she has been altered. She is house-broken, crate-trained & knows "sit" & "shake".While a little shy at first, she bonded with Pauley James very quickly. One of our recent fosters had just left and Ciera was just the medicine Pauley needed to get over his doldrums. Within a few minutes, they were chasing each other, playing tug-of-war with toys, and acting like old friends. From the beginning, Ciera was very patient about waiting for her food and has never been food aggressive toward people or dogs.Ciera LOVES to play with other dogs...running, wrestling, and rolling in the grass...but also loves hanging out, lazing around and snuggling with animals as well. She has never shown any aggression toward any of our five cats but does get on their nerves at times due to her constantly showing them attention. And she seems to have a pretty close bond with one of our female cats, Reese. They lick each others faces quite a bit.One thing we thoroughly enjoy about Ciera is her loving nature toward our family. She enjoys sitting with us while we talk or watch TV & often falls asleep in our laps. Without a doubt, she is a great snuggle buddy.Sitting with her next to you is an awesome way to spend an evening Ciera has been our foster for almost 5 months & we as a family have fallen in love with her. If you or someone you know may be interested in adopting Ciera, please email weedlekitty@yahoo.com for more information. She is located in Eastern KY, but transport is available.

Rescue Me in Honor of Grampa J
Our friend Mayzie & her family are having "Rescue Me Week" in order to honor her Grampa J. We think this is a wonderful idea! Not only are they paying tribute to their Grampa, but they are helping find homes for pets in need. They are also going to have a drawing in which 5 different people can win $100.00 to the rescue of their choice. This is a win win in our book! We would like to spotlight our own foster, Ciera, today.

You warmed my heart, Pauley James, when I read how welcoming you were to Ciera - and such a beautiful girl whose coloring complements your own :). Praying her forever home finds her soon.
Ciera is so beautiful, Im glad youre participating in this series!
Pauley James, any foster dog who ends up with your family, even for alittle while, is a lucky dog! We hope someone falls in love with Ciera soon and takes her home... but until then, she's sure lucky to have you!
Ciera is just gorgeous! And she sounds so wonderful from your description. She's lucky to have you until she finds her forever home which I hope will be soon and know will be wonderful.
Thank you for taking care of her.
What a really wonderful idea from Mayzie and her family! Ciera really sounds like a dream girl - I'm so surprised she hasn't bee adopted yet but very glad at the same time that she's been able to spend this stretch with your family!
