Things Revealed & Seeking Advice

Good morning, do not worry, I am not about to eat Middy Sue. We are just playing. I thought since everyone has gotten to know me pretty well, that no one would judge me about my teeth. Take a good look at them in my picture. Do you see that I barely have any front teeth & that my canines are broken off? I am just a young guy, but to look at my teeth, you would think that I am ancient! I am missing several teeth too. How did my mouth get in this shape? I am not sure; I really do not remember. My doctor said that I should not have any problems even if it does make me look old :) Some people think it just adds to my charm.

I had to go back to the doctor last week, because my skin was all itchy. It turns out that I have allergies. I also had a DOUBLE ear infection. The doctor said that the infection is related to my allergies. She gave me a shot & I feel much better. I am barely itchy at all now. I also have drops for my ears. Even though I do not like the drops, I am a good boy & let the Mr. & Mrs. put them in. So, the advice that I am seeking is, does anyone out there have experience with having doggies with allergies? Does anyone have any suggestions for what might help me feel better?

Make sure you check out this ; Middy Sue is going to tell all about an adventure we had!

Well Pauly James we're kinda like you that we get itchy. Mommy solved our problems by serving only grain free foodables. We SharPei have notorious tender tummies and corn is something we were terribly allergic to. Dere ya go. Good luck wif the itchies, they're not good, very bad.

A lot of times it is related to food. Try something like California Naturals that only has a small amount of ingredients and see if that works.
It could also be the products you use to clean your floor, do you use anything heavily scented or have you recently switched?

I know that Rudy the guide dog is having some allergies to what they think is corn. We've never had any experience with allergies here, luckily.

I think your teefs give you character!

Hi, Pauley!
Toofies!
I have no experience with allergies but sure is good to check on the food. Maybe a change would help.
Glad the shot is working for you!
Take care

Miss M used to have that problem when she was younger. People told us it was related to food...and even some dogs have a problem with chicken We used to use California Natural, but it was just bought out and the formula completely changed and now we use Frohms.

Another vote in the food column! I have found that A LOT of white bullies have allergies, including our Chick and our dear ex-foster Lollie. Chick is allergic to corn and wheat and some other grains, so we have him on a food called "Blue Basics" in the chicken or turkey flavor. Lollie is a little less sensitive, and we found that the Nutro Natural Balance in chicken & rice (for sensitive stomachs -- comes in a mint green bag at petsmart) was good enough.
Now, no more itchies, and no more stinky gas!

I think you will have to figure out the cause of the allergies. I will do some research this weekend for you. Meanwhile, special foods can get expensive-- especially with 4 doggies and a kitty or two (plus one boy!).

Your teeth are perfect-- they add to your character...I am so glad you don't remember what happened, little guy... You deserve only happiness.

Poor itchy Pauley, Mama says how about she comes to your house and scratches your back for you??? We're glad our post on FlaxyPet might help you! We read online some stories of itchy dogs who used flaxseeds and their allergies went away!
