During our time away from the blog, we were still fostering. One of the dogs that we had during that time was Molly Brown. Miss Molly was thought to be pregnant, but thankfully she was not, though she had obviously had several litters in the past. Right off the bat, Molly was one of the most affectionate dogs that we have ever fostered. Nothing made her happier than cuddling.
She was also thought to be dog aggressive due to the way she reacted to the other dogs at the pound. For the first week, we kept her in the foster house away from the other dogs (other fosters were in our extra bedroom that is now a dog room). She was very vocal with the other dogs through the fence, but never showed her teeth or did any lunging. We also spent time walking her & Pauley together to see how she would do.
So after a little time passed, we felt comfortable that all would go well, & we let Molly & Pauley interact together (supervised of course) & it turns out that Molly is not aggressive at all. She is just bossy. And really don't we all know & love a bossy woman?
Molly was only our foster for a little over a month. We anticipated that she would be a long timer, but we were happily surprised when a young woman let us know that she felt a strong connection with Molly & would like to adopt her.

What a great story with a happy ending. I am glad she found a great home, and she got some Pauly snuggle time while with you guys.
I cant even count how may animals are in that home!
It seems like Molly was just trying to educate the other dogs. So glad she connected, she is a doll.
Wow, you all keep busy with your animals and, God bless you, your fosters! Miss Molly is a gorgeous dog - I'm so happy you were able to prove she was not dog aggressive. Bossy woman? HA - we need to be :). Congratulations and kudos for all you do!
she seems like a total doll!

You probably saved her life by taking the time to evaluate her properly. Hugs to the whole team!
It's so interesting how the pound/animal control's limited test labels a dog "dog aggressive," but bad manners don't equal aggression! I'm sure when Braylon was turned into the pound she was totally terrified and didn't react to anything-- now that she's confident I wouldn't doubt if she'd "fail" a county evaluation of dog aggression because she is a SUPER boss. So glad you worked with Molly to truly discover more about her.
Miss Molly is beautiful! So happy she got a forever home!
what a gorgeous dog!
and bravo for taking the time to understand and integrate her. what a lucky dog :)
We love bossy ladies! Congrats to Molly and her new mom. Your pack sure gave that pretty girl a great start to her happy new life!

Aww, she's a beauty! Bella's bossy, too. Not everyone's as forgiving as you and Pauley, I fear. :]
