Rescue Me Week, Day Four-Mariah & Pups

Today our entry is a little different. We have been posting about dogs who need a home, but are safe where they are. Today's lovely girl & her babies are NOT safe. We have not met Mariah, but know that she deserves a chance;  unless someone can foster her or find a home for her, she will not get the chance that every dog deserves. Mariah is in a rural kill shelter in Eastern KY. Pit Bulls, Pitties, Pit Mixes, whatever you want to call them, do NOT often make it out of the shelter. This girl is breaking our hearts. Please if you know of anyone who might possibly be able to help this girl & her puppies, let us know. Even if just a temporary foster can be found..... Transport & temperament testing can be arranged. Remember to check out our friend Mayzie's Blog for other animals in need.

She is too gorgeous. So many times it's the pups who have the best chance, but the poor mother gets left behind...

Oh, Mariah, your eyes look so sad. I'm so sorry you're in that place and that you haven't had a chance to be luved. I will puts this on my Facebook page and see if mom can figure out how to tweet it, too. My paws are crossed that everybuddy gets out safe.

Gentle, hopeful wiggles & wags,
mayzie

So beautiful. I'm tweeting this story to my animal rescue friends who will tweet it far and wide. Hopefully Mariah and her pups will get out of that horrible place safe and sound.

We will hold her in our hearts.

I would foster in a heartbeat... and adopt! but in Ontario,Canada we have a breed ban :(( ....she and her pups are beautiful....I hope and pray someone gives her a second chance at a happy loving home.

Maisie's Mom, STAR does offer sponsorship of dogs. I am going to check in tomorrow & see if a plan can be made for her. I am very hopeful that one of our fosters will be placed soon & hopefully we can get them out. I talked to one of the STAR members tonight & she said that Mariah has the best disposition.
