The puppy mill dogs cannot be released yet, so all of the current the pound dogs are at risk due to space.
Update - Per Julia - What we need ASAP! ALL dogs on the STAR site are in need of immediate rescue. I do have a driver to Hagerstown, possibly to Mechanicsburg on Wednesday. ALL dogs that were at the pound are now STAR dogs. We have them parked temporarily at the Stampers old kennel. They are leasing the kennel to us. We do not have the manpower to go out there and feed and water and clean 2x a day. So those dogs must go to rescue or foster now!!!! I know everyone is concerned about the mill dogs but they are OK for the time being. The county is handling that. We do need fosters for only a few of those dogs. The ones with newborns and the about to whelp ones. VERY important to realize if you foster one of those dogs that is all it is...foster. You cannot place those dogs. Every single dog listed on the STAR site must get rescued!!!

Dogs with asterisk in front of names are already out of
pound in foster or boarding. Dogs without it are now at Tim's. The dogs
without it are the critical dogs that need to be moved right away. They
are in next county over so county cannot care for them. Tim cannot care
for them since he is busy with work. We are strapped big time getting
enough people to go daily and care for them. This is a real mess.
Desperate for flea and tick stuff and dewormer. Mill
dogs are infested. 10+ per run at pound now. Fortunately all small
breeds so they are better off at pound than they have been. Runs are
good sized so they have room to move around. They were all crated in a
single wide trailer at mill.
