Wordy Wednesday

So much has happened since the last entry that I do not know where to start & I am afraid I will never finish. I will try to keep it short & will break it down over the next couple of days. Skippy left on Saturday. We always feel guilty when we take them to transport and place them in the crate. They almost always give you a look as if to say "why are you leaving me? what did I do wrong?" No matter that we know that sending them elsewhere will help them find a loving home quicker & enable another dog to be pulled from the shelter, it always leaves our hearts feeling heavy. Skippy did great though & went into the crate with no problems. He did not even make a peep, but the look in his eyes told us that he was confused. No worry though the wonderful foster home that he went to has already placed a video of him up on his Petfinder site & he looks to be fitting right in & is happy as can be!He is now in PA just like Middy Sue, but they are at different rescues.
Pauley, Red & Ciara have been taking it easy since he left & have acted kind of lost. Even though Skippy is in a little package, he has a BIG playful attitude.

The biggest news we have is about Red. He is going on an extended stay with a family & may have found his forever home!!!!You see, Aunt Karrie's boyfriend, Chris, has been visiting a lot & has really come to love Red. We were very surprised at how completely at ease Red seems to be around him. He runs to greet him & will even play tug & fetch with him! Whenever we have tried that with Red, he always runs & hides. If this was all there was to it, it would be the perfect fit!!

The only question now is, how will Indiana like Red coming to live with her? Indiana has always been an only dog & while she seems to like Red when she visits him in our home( how cute are they laying together?) , we do not know how she will react to having Red live with her in her home. They are going to take the introduction slow & keep them separated for several days in the home & gradually increase the time spent together. So please keep Indiana & Red in your thoughts for the next couple of weeks. We would love for Red to have found his perfect spot :)
